Opportunities for Alumni in Finland

Learn more about the ASLA-Fulbright Alumni Association, a registered association for alumni of the Fulbright Finland Foundation based in Finland, and how to join as a member.
Become a Fulbright Buddy for an arriving U.S. grantee and support them in learning about Finland and settling into their new country.
Become an Outreach Ambassador and share your experiences to help promote the Fulbright Finland grant programs, advise future applicants, and connect and engage with our current grantees and alumni.
Help to increase the awareness of the opportunities provided by the Foundation:
- Share and repost the Foundation's social media posts and news articles on the grant program openings, events, and alumni stories.
- Give info sessions at your home institution, participate in the local Study Abroad fairs, and send targeted invitations to prospective applicants.
- Encourage a colleague to apply for a Fulbright Finland grant program to study, conduct research, or teach in the U.S.
- Write about your personal Fulbright Finland experience for our blog, the Fulbright Finland News magazine, or provide short impact statements for social media.

Share your Fulbright Finland experience as an alumni speaker at the Orientation for the U.S. Fulbright grantees or at the Pre-departure orientation for Fulbright Finland grantees to the U.S.
Participate as an alumni evaluator in the selection committees.
Serve as an expert speaker in the Fulbright Finland Foundation events.

Organize informal alumni networking get-togethers (after-work happy hours, picnics...)
Launch a new scholarship.
Facilitate and encourage your university to sponsor a grant.
Give back to the community! Donate or offer support in fundraising efforts.
