The grants are awarded for all fields. However, proposals for medical research involving clinical training, patient care or patient contact are not eligible.
The Fulbright Finland Foundation awards grants to enable Finnish higher education institutions to invite U.S. scholars to hold temporary lecturing or lecturing/researching positions. The grants are awarded for periods ranging from a few days up to a full academic year.
American scholars and students are selected as Fulbright grantees to Finland each year. Through the Fulbright Speaker Program these individuals may be invited to your school or institution to give a talk on a specific research topic or more general American theme.
